Nathan Cox 61K jpeg

Nathan Cox hails from Coonabarabran in country New South Wales, and is one of the new breed of musicians equally interested in the mechanics and tuning of his beloved instruments as playing them.

In 2018, Nathan completed his Bachelor of Music (Honors) degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as a harpsichord major under Professor Neal Peres Da Costa. He is the proud owner of a 1989 Flemish Double by Carey Beebe which has been heard in performances around the country.

Nathan has enjoyed spending much of his free time in the harpsichord workshop. When not there, he can usually be found in the Historic Performance area at the Sydney Con, or preparing our hire instruments on stage around the country. He has tuned professionally for organizations and ensembles including Opera Australia, Pinchgut Opera, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, Sydney Chamber Choir, Ironwood, Australian Haydn Ensemble, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and Australian Festival of Chamber Music.

Nathan’s original instrument group Ensemble Polyphème makes its debut in November 2019 with Handel’s Acis & Galatea.
