Nathan Cox 61K jpeg

Nathan Cox hails from Coonabarabran in country New South Wales, and is one of the new breed of musicians equally interested in the mechanics and tuning of his beloved instruments as playing them.

A fourth-year (Honors) harpsichord major working towards his Bachelor of Music (Performance) degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Professor Neal Peres Da Costa, Nathan plays continuo with Sydney’s newest early music ensemble Bach Akademie Australia and is the proud owner of a 1989 Flemish Double by Carey Beebe.

Nathan has enjoyed spending much of his free time in the harpsichord workshop. When not there, he can usually be found in the Historic Performance area at the Sydney Con, or preparing our hire instruments on stage around the country. He has tuned professionally for organizations and ensembles including Opera Australia, Pinchgut Opera, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, Sydney Chamber Choir, Ironwood, Australian Haydn Ensemble, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and Australian Festival of Chamber Music.
